About this tool
Upload or drop any person, product or object photo and remove its background in one click, exporting a transparent PNG. Inference runs entirely in your browser (WebGPU first, WASM as fallback) — your image never uploads to any server, and there is no usage limit. Edges are finely processed, with Fast and High-quality modes, ideal for white-background product shots, avatars, posters and design assets.
How to use
- Drop an image, or click to browse and select one.
- Pick the Fast or High-quality mode.
- Click Remove background and wait for the local model to finish.
- Preview the transparent result, then click Download PNG to save it.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole pipeline runs locally in your browser; the model is downloaded once from huggingface.co and cached by your browser, and the image itself never leaves your device or touches any server.
Which formats are supported?
Common bitmaps (PNG, JPEG, WebP and more), up to 50 MB. The output is always a transparent-background PNG.
What's the difference between Fast and High quality?
High quality does extra edge refinement, so hair and fuzzy edges come out cleaner but take a little longer. Fast is quicker and fine for most images.
Why is the first run slow?
The first removal downloads and caches the model (~100 MB) from huggingface.co — a network connection is needed. Later runs only re-initialize the runtime and are noticeably faster; the model is cached by your browser.
