About this tool
Compare two texts character by character and see deleted and inserted characters highlighted inline, so you can tell exactly what changed. Shows a similarity percentage plus added/removed counts, optionally ignores case and whitespace, and lets you export a Word document or an HTML side-by-side page. Everything runs locally in your browser.
How to use
- Paste the original text on the left and the compared text on the right.
- Optionally toggle Ignore case or Ignore whitespace.
- Review the inline character diff, then copy the diff or export it as Word / HTML.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The diff is computed entirely in your browser.
Is the comparison line by line or character by character?
Character by character. Changes are highlighted inline, down to the exact characters that differ.
Can I ignore whitespace and case differences?
Yes. Use the Ignore whitespace and Ignore case toggles to focus on real content changes.
Can I export the result?
Yes — export a highlighted Word document (.doc) or an HTML comparison page (.html).
