About this tool
Upload a CSV file or paste its contents and convert it into a JSON array of objects in seconds. The first CSV row is treated as headers; output is pretty-printed, syntax-highlighted JSON you can copy into your code or download as a file. You can also go the other way — convert a JSON array back to CSV. Everything runs locally in your browser — your data is never uploaded.
How to use
- Choose CSV → JSON or JSON → CSV.
- Upload a .csv file or paste its contents (first row as headers), or paste JSON.
- Read the highlighted JSON result, then copy it or download it as a file.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser — even uploaded files are read locally and never leave your device.
Can I upload a CSV file instead of pasting it?
Yes. Upload a .csv, .tsv or .txt file and it is read into the converter. This is the quickest path for spreadsheet exports too large to paste.
How are CSV rows converted?
The first row becomes the field names; every following row becomes a JSON object keyed by those names.
