Base32 Encode / Decode

About this tool

Convert any text into a Base32 string using the RFC 4648 alphabet, or turn a Base32 string back into plain text. Base32 is useful for compact, case-insensitive encodings like TOTP secrets and URLs.

How to use
  1. Type or paste your text into the input box.
  2. Choose Encode to turn it into Base32, or Decode to read a Base32 string.
  3. Copy the result with the Copy button.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Encoding and decoding happen entirely in your browser.

Does it support Unicode text?

Yes. Text is treated as UTF-8 before encoding, so emoji and CJK characters work correctly.

Is the output padded?

Yes. The output is padded with = to a multiple of 8 characters, following RFC 4648.
